There have been plenty of changes during the pandemic as businesses were forced to find new ways of serving their customers. In the City of Victoria, a temporary program allowed for new uses of public spaces to help businesses. Now the city wants to know what's working, and what should be continued into the spring and summer.
A survey is live asking for feedback on Build Back Victoria, which allowed for new commercial activities such as temporary patios, business in parks and street closures.

not impressed with the loss of parking in areas such as Cook St Village. so many parking spots lost and most side st parking is restricted to Residential only. Perhaps this should be changed and the first 4 spots on Residential only side st's could be changed to limited 1 hour parking 9-3 M-F to assist with local business. I drove there and all around in the middle of a rainstorm for a few blocks trying to find a spot to by from Pattiserie. Blocking parking and not accommodating for it is a detriment to business, especially destination businesses such as Pattiserie Daniel etc. Also really not impressed on all the road closures such as Vancouver st with no consideration for the impact on the pandemic. Its becoming very hard to negotiate around the core to the point where I'd rather take my business elsewhere
