The Prodigy Group is partnering with the YWCA/YMCA of Greater Victoria to fundraise for the 2009 Y Partners with Youth Campaign.
Local Victoria youth, Prodigy Group members, and Olympic athletes will team up in friendly competition to raise money in the first annual Prodigy Partners with Youth: Apprentice Fundraiser.
Teams will be tasked with the challenge of creatively marketing and selling Halloween candy in Victoria's bustling downtown. The participants will be awarded prizes based leadership, creativity, and of course, the most profit earned for charity.
Teams will be sporting vibrant Prodigy Apprentice T-shirts and will be in and around the downtown core throughout the day, ready to trade their candy for public donations.
Jennie Edgecombe, CEO of YWCA/YMCA of Greater Victoria, and John Juricic, Chair of the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce will be standing in for the Trumps as the judges for the day’s competition.
CSC Pacific Sport has rallied local Olympic athletes to lend their motivational spirit to the day’s events while Prodigy Group members will be sharing their business savvy to coach the kids to fundraising victory.
Bring out the child in yourself, and help make this a memorable and rewarding Halloween for Victoria’s youth by donating generously to these teams on October 31st.
Visit www.prodigygroup.ca for more details on how you can participate, donate and volunteer at this fun filled event.
