Sasha Angus leads Vancouver Island Economic Alliance

Sasha Angus, Economic Development Officer with the Greater Victoria Development Agency, has been named as the Chair of the Vancouver Island Economic Alliance for 2009 – 2010.
“It has been an honor to serve on the board of the Vancouver Island Alliance over the last two years, and I am excited about the opportunities for the organization in 2009. As Chair for the coming year, I look forward to further strengthening VIEA’s commitment to collaboration and inclusiveness. There are many opportunities and challenges facing Vancouver Island, and it is by working together that we will ensure a vibrant and prosperous future for all our communities.”
The Vancouver Island Economic Alliance (VIEA), is a collaborative partnership that is tasked with spearheading regional economic development for the Vancouver Island region. It provides a means for the multitude of communities, First Nations, businesses, and other key stakeholders to collaborate on a broad-based economic development program that improves the region’s overall capacity for growth.
