Announcing the Winners!!

April 16, 2008

Trophies were awarded to winners in 14 categories at the 2008 Greater Victoria Business Awards tonight at the Fairmont Empress Crystal Ballroom. The gala awards event, hosted by the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce also honoured Bob Wright of the Oak Bay Marine Group with the Governors’ Lifetime Achievement Award. The room was packed with over 300 business leaders, family members and friends to celebrate the successes.
 
“The energy and enthusiasm in the room as everyone recognized the accomplishments of all award nominees and winners make this event one of the best of the year in our region,” stated Margaret Lucas, Chair of the Chamber. “It is such an honour to applaud the contributions of our local business people and all that they do to make our region a great place to work and prosper.”
 
The Chamber is dedicated to business vitality in the Capital Region and award winners and finalists of the Greater Victoria Business Awards are businesses or businesspersons that have demonstrated a significant and sustained commitment to positive business development, economic growth and diversity within the region.
