Local Issues – Provincial Election

April 29, 2013 – Victoria, BC – The Chamber is asking local candidates to take a stand on issues that directly impact our community. The Economic Agenda for Our Vibrant Community puts a number of issues and specific recommendations forward so that provincial candidates in Greater Victoria can publicize which they support. The highlighted issues are: The Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce, with approximately 1,500 members, is the voice of business for Greater Victoria and has received Accreditation with Distinction from the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.

  • Proposed National Marine Conservation Area

“We’ve seen a number of party election promises for BC overall, but it’s important to learn where politicians in Greater Victoria stand on the issues that directly impact our community,” says Chamber CEO Bruce Carter. “We’ve created the Economic Agenda to address major economic issues, and to see where Greater Victoria’s potential leaders stand.”
