Chamber Celebrates Outstanding Performance at Chamber
Awards
April 28, 2010 – Victoria, BC – The cameras were
flashing as the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce celebrated the
accomplishments of local business in the Greater Victoria Business Awards last
night at the Fairmont Empress Hotel. Awards were given in 12 categories as well
as the awarding of the Governors’ Lifetime Achievement Award to Gordon Denford
of Berwick Retirement Communities.
“It is fantastic to recognize and celebrate the hard work
and success of the business people in our community, says David Marshall, acting
chair of the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce. “After what was likely the
hardest year in business that many can remember, a time to applaud those who
have made such great contributions to our community is well-warranted.”
