Questions

  1. Please identify what you believe to be the most important issue in your riding and your plan to address that issue.

The most important issues in Juan de Fuca are local job opportunities and improved services like education, healthcare and training. Local businesses and residents need these job creating opportunities and access to improved services while we work our way through the current economic downturn.

There are several worthy local job creating projects that are supported by local governments, businesses and voters and are "shovel ready" for infrastructure funding currently available: Belmont school replacement, communter rail, E&N railtrail, Sooke/Jordan River hiway improvements and local social housing projects to name just a few.

Rather than cut education and health care, governments need to support and enhance access to these vital services so that families on the West Shore have improved access in their communities."
