The 2009 Provincial Election is May 12th. Advanced polls are open from May 6th to May 9th and are open to any registered voter.

The Economy
 
1. What is your party’s strategy to sustain employment in the province without introducing ongoing government subsidy programs?

2. Significant portions of our economy are carbon dependent. How will your party’s climate change program impact on the provincial economy, specifically in communities with carbon dependent industries?

3. Economic opportunities that produce household sustaining jobs are hampered by the fractured municipal environment in Greater Victoria. What will your government do to improve the governance effectiveness of the Capital Region?

Access to Credit

4. Eighty-three per cent of all small businesses in British Columbia have four employees or less. These small businesses are experiencing difficulty in accessing affordable credit. What will you government do to ensure small business in BC has sufficient access to credit?


Crime and Public Safety

5. The level of violent crime in our province is unacceptable while businesses continue to be concerned about ongoing problems with property crime. Please outline specific approaches your government will employ to reduce crime and improve public safety.

6. Will your government amalgamate municipal police forces in Victoria and Vancouver?


Homelessness

7. Government program investments need to have measureable results to ensure accountability in public money expenditures. What are the three key metrics that your party will monitor in your campaign to end homelessness?
