Municipal politicians’ decisions impact on our day to day lives and business operations. They have jurisdiction over your property taxes and how they are invested, including transportation and land use planning, policing, economic vitality of the community and zoning for the delivery of social services such as providing housing options for the homeless.

As councillors have an equal vote as do Mayors at the municipal table, it is important to elect councillors who you believe will best represent interests that are important to you.
